Playground AI Faceswap ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile applications ("apps").

This Privacy Policy has been in effect since December 3, 2014, and may be updated occasionally. All updates will be posted here along with the latest revision date.

Face Data Collection and Use

1. Information We Collect – Face Data
Our app collects only the image that you choose to upload through your device’s camera or gallery.

  • Face Swap: The uploaded image may contain your face, which is used solely to map onto a selected template.

  • Image-to-Style: The uploaded image may be transformed into artistic styles such as portrait, pencil sketch, or oil painting.
    We do not collect or store biometric identifiers (such as facial geometry points used for authentication).

2. How We Use Face Data

  • Face Swap: Your photo is processed to replace the face in a selected template with the face from your uploaded image, generating a new combined image that you can save or share.

  • Image-to-Style: Your photo is processed to apply a chosen artistic style, producing a stylized version of your original image.
    Face images are used only to produce the requested output image. We do not analyze them for identity verification, recognition, or tracking.

3. Sharing of Face Data
We do not share your face data with any third parties for marketing, advertising, or profiling.
If a feature requires server processing (such as AI rendering), your uploaded image is transmitted securely to our processing servers hosted on AWS.

4. Storage and Retention
Face images are retained only for the duration of the processing session. Once the final processed image is delivered to you, all copies of the uploaded image are permanently deleted from our servers. No face data is stored in persistent storage.

Non-Personal Information

We may collect non-personally identifiable information, which includes:

  • Device type and model

  • Operating system version

  • Country code

  • Technical details used for app functionality and communication

Disclaimer

User Responsibility:
We are not responsible for any personal information that you choose to share voluntarily (e.g., passwords, account credentials).

External Threats:
We cannot be held liable for data breaches or losses due to external factors such as malware, hacking attempts, or regulatory actions beyond our control.

Legal Use:
We are not responsible for how third parties use your data if their actions comply with applicable laws and regulations or align with this Privacy Policy.

Advertising

We may allow third-party technologies to collect non-personal data for ad-serving purposes. We currently use AdMob by Google to display ads. For more information, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy.

Location Access

Some features of our apps may request access to your location. This may be determined through GPS, Wi-Fi, or network-based data such as your IP address. Your location will only be used with your permission and is never stored, shared, or used for advertising.

Children’s Privacy

Our apps are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

Camera Access

Camera access may be required for features such as photo filters or face-swapping. We do not collect, store, or share any photos or videos from your device.

Photos, Media, and Files

Our apps do not access your personal files without your action. When users select media for app-related features, that data is used temporarily and is never stored or uploaded.

Permissions Explained

  • BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE:
    Used only to receive notifications from selected apps as configured by the user. It serves no other purpose.

  • READ_PHONE_STATE:
    Used solely to receive app notifications. It is not used to collect personal data.

Personal Data

We do not collect, store, or process any personal information such as names, emails, or addresses.

Third-Party Services

Some parts of our app experience may involve third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies for more details.

Data Sharing and Legal Compliance

We may disclose data if required by law, to protect user safety, or to enforce our rights. This may include:

  • Responding to court orders or legal proceedings

  • Investigating fraud, abuse, or threats
